This project came out of traveling through Turkey and wanting to document the experience in a way that felt honest rather than staged. Shooting in unfamiliar places pushed me to work quickly and adapt to constantly changing environments, light, and movement. I focused on capturing small, everyday moments alongside larger scenes to better reflect the feeling of being there. Editing the footage later helped me understand how much storytelling happens after the camera is put away — how pacing, shot selection, and restraint can shape the final impression. More than anything, the project taught me to be comfortable working without a rigid plan and to trust instinct when documenting new places.
