Kaleid came out of my work as a Technical Analyst for the Ontario government, where I regularly compared English and French versions of government websites during quality assurance testing. I often relied on IDE plugins for text comparison, but they weren’t ideal for quick checks or sharing with non-technical team members. Kaleid was designed as a lightweight, browser-based alternative that requires no installation and focuses on surfacing small but critical differences, especially broken or mismatched links.
